S 02.1 Creating a website from scratch

Before you start to create a new website you need to have a clear view on the goal for the website.
What content should be displayed to users, with or without a password and what is the main objectives for the site. Promotion, Sales or just catch leads.

Prepare a rough overview plan on paper, what templates do you need to get the job done.
What content do you have, there are several ways to build everything, so its important that you choose the corect templates according to your distribution needs.
It´s smart to gather all your content on your desktop so its easy to see what you are missing.

Go to Website - List Websites - and press "+ New Website" button

A new window will open where you'll see different fields to fill.

We'll only be using some:
Name: Your website name (Example: Experience.live)
Hosts group: Choose your group of available hosts
Host: Choose your domain or experience.live subdomain 
- it might be something like https://YourCompany.experience.live or your domain
If you have your own domain and we have set it up, it wil be available on the dropdown.
Webmail:  your company email address Ex:contact@experience.live

Header: optional field can be used to put scripts in the header of all pages.
Footer: optional field
Keywords: optional field
Description: optional field
Backgroundcolor: optional field

Language: Select the sites language

Main Page: This defines what page that wil be the homepage / startpage of the site. It also defines the page you will get to by clicking the logo in the top left corner
This must be set after you have created a page to link to

404 Page: Selct the page the user will see when they reach a page that does not exist.

Hide site: Select this option if you want the site to be hiden from the public domain

Crawlable: Select this option if you want the site to be Google indexed

TrackingCode (Google Analytics): Here you can add the google tracking code, and its automatically added to all pages.

Body script:
 Should be set to "sitebuilder" if you are running a standard solution

Robots: 

After you added all the required fields abow press the green "Save" button in footer of the page.
