S 02.2 Creating a website from scratch - Requiered pages
When creating a hompage you need a settings page where you define most of the parameters for the site.
Click the "New page" tab on top of the page.
Choose the template "Site Settings"
Check the "Active" checker top left
Give it the name "Site settings"
Click "save" in the bottom
Congratulations
You now have the base of the new website.
The settings template is the heart of any website and connects everything together
Start with:
Under Site setup you will find
• Topbar logo Target size 520px x 200px
This is the logo you will see on the top of your site
• Share logo Target size 320px x 320px
This is the logo that will be shared to social medias, when articles and pages is shared by your users
• Banner Target size 1150px x 125px
You can choose to have top banner limited to the sites width. You can add whatever image you want, or just an image with a single color, we also suport PNG with transperancy. So mainly you can acheive whatever you want in the topbanner.
• Endless banner Target size 1800px x 125px
you can choose the endless topbanner to have a fullwidth topbanner, streatching across the full width of the browser.
• Sticky logo Target size 520px x 200px
When scrolling down on any page on desktop the top will colapse and show a black bar along the top of the page And will display the Sticky logo.
• Base color
The base color control the general color of all the templates Setting heading colors, links, buttons etc. Giving you the power to change its sitewide in just a click. Note! The settings page must be saved to give effect
• Menu color
Controlling the text color of the menu. Make sure you choose a color that is visible on the Basecolor you have selected Note! The settings page must be saved to give effect
• Background Target size 1920px x 1200px
You can have a bacground image in the back of the whole site, make a petern, or some amasing graphics surronding the full site. By deafult the image is scaled by the fit to fill principal.
• Unscalable
If you want the image to keep a fixed position according to the site check this option and it does not scale when the browsersize change.
• Favicon
When creating a website in 2017 you need to add a favicon, it´s those small details that makes the difference. The favicon is the icon all users will see in front of the page name at the top of every page.
Default pages
• Search results (Optional)
Select the page that will return the search results, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab")Go to the new tab then select the template "C - Search results"
Note: It will not be selectable in the settings before you click save in the settings
• News (Optional)
Select the page that will list the news, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab")Go to the new tab then select the template "B - News feed"

• Activities (Optional)
Select the page that will list the activities, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab")Go to the new tab then select the template "B - Activities"

• Presentations (Optional)
Select the page that will list the activities, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab")Go to the new tab then select the template "B - Presentations"

Protected pages (For secure sites only) (Intranet, extranet, gamification sites)
If you want your pages to be invisible to the public you need to check the "Password required" on all pages inside the site. You also need to define some extra pages.
• Login (For secure sites only)
Select the page that will give the user the option to login, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab")Go to the new tab then select the template "D - Login"
Note: It will not be selectable in the settings before you click save in the settings
• PW recovery (For secure sites only)
Select the page that will give the user the option to recover his password, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab" Go to the new tab then select the template "D - Pw recovery"
Note: It will not be selectable in the settings before you click save in the settings
• New password (For secure sites only)
Select the page that will give the user the option to set a new password, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab")Go to the new tab then select the template "D - New pw"

• Logout (For secure sites only)
Select the page that will give the user the option to logout, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab")Go to the new tab then select the template "D - Logout"

Event connection
Use this to show whats going on, displays a countdown on all pages.
• Event
Choose the event you want to display something from
• Connected time field
Choose what you want to countdown to:
- Booking starts
- Booking ends
- Event starts
- Event ends
Clockface
Choose what you want to display:
- Days, hours, minutes, seconds
- Hours, minutes, seconds
- Minutes, seconds
- Countdown text
Footer settings
• Fluid
Will display a fullwidt footer, if not selected the footer will be same width as the site core.
• Gray logos
Converts all sponsor logos to grayscale, but flips them back on rollover.
This is a good options for big footers with a lot of differet logos
• Default footer
Choose the footer that wil be automatically attached to everey new page, if you have not created it yet, hold down "control" on your keyboard and click the add "New page" on the tabs on top. (Select "Open link in a new tab")Go to the new tab then select the template "C - Footer"

• Newsletter
Select the newsletter that users will subscribe to when filling their name in the footer.
Social media
Use this section to show the share buttons for social medias
• Title
Select the social media
• Active
Define if its active or not
Click the "Add instance" button to add more social medias
Click the "Remove instance" to remove them.
You can drag the instances to get them in your desired order.
Cookies
• Cookies policy
We are using cookies and so ar you, meaning you can add a text telling the users about it. It will only display untill the user accept it.
Google Hangouts
Use this if you want your users to contact you on google hangouts.
It will display the users selected below to be contactable in the footer section of the page
• Opening hrs
• Close hrs
Displays the hours the button should be visible
• Google user(s)
Set the user on google
